Objectives

This course examines the concepts, theories, and research related to the management of organizations. We will survey various perspectives of how managers can better plan, organize, lead, and control their complex organizations thereby strengthening individual, group, an organizational performance.

By the end of the course students should be able to better understand their own approach to the successful management of different types of resources, including but not limited to human, technological, financial, and physical resources within a wide variety of organizations. Students will also develop or refine their skills in critical thinking and analysis, applied learning, and communication. Coping with and succeeding in a fast-paced environment with incomplete information will also be confronted.

The certificate or transcript of records

At the end of the course a certificate of attendance and transcript of records will be issued to each participant.
Successful participants can earn 4 credit hours – US / 8 credit points-ECTS.

* Please note: These credits can be transferred to your home university/institution. It is recommended to verify with your home university/institution that the grades you earn in Bremen can be applied to your curriculum or course of study.

Prerequisites

The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students and young professionals. Minimum age 18 years. C1-C2 / Proficient user (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages / CEFR)
