Objectives

International managers today have access to endless sources of data: legacy systems, industry reports, customer relationship management systems, social media metrics, etc. The challenge is how to make good decisions based on trends, nuances and themes within the data. This objective of the course is to show technical and non-technical students advanced techniques within Excel to analyze, understand and manage large data sets. These techniques include: • Filters • Subtotals • Financial functions • Database functions • Advanced graphing • Pivot tables and graphs

Students will learn these techniques through problem solving cases and be able to apply the new skills immediately in International Management, Accounting, Marketing and Finance courses.

The certificate or transcript of records

At the end of the course a certificate of attendance and transcript of records will be issued to each participant.
Successful participants can earn 4 credit hours – US / 8 credit points-ECTS.

* Please note: These credits can be transferred to your home university/institution. It is recommended to verify with your home university/institution that the grades you earn in Bremen can be applied to your curriculum or course of study.

Prerequisites

The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students and young professionals.
Minimum age 18 years.
