|Objectives||In today’s businesses the pace of innovation places a premium on companies to compete for the best talent. Well known around the world is the fact that career advancement for women is not easy. And they are still largely underrepresented in leadership positions.
Far less known is the circumstance that women are meanwhile the majority of university graduates across the world. Therefore business schools have to use this unique potential to provide young female managers the greatest chances of success.
The new HSB-International Summer School course “Women in Leadership” aims to attract high potential women seeking new levels of performance and achievement in their professional goals.
The participants will explore the latest approaches, methods and empirical findings in the subjects of management and analyse the challenges, opportunities and changes facing women in business.
The program is designed to enhance leadership skills, improve strategic thinking, identify individual leadership styles, and benefit from best practices of women in leadership roles. Overall, young female managers will learn how to become more effective and sustainable leaders who can master their own career development and the complexities of a cosmopolitan work environment.
The course at HSB-International Summer School takes place in an inspiring learning atmosphere taught by international experts in a global classroom.

Certificate / transcript of records
At the end of the course a certificate of attendance and transcript of records will be issued to each participant. Successful participants can earn 4 credit hours - US / 8 credit points-ECTS.

Tram and bus ticket
As a participant in the International Summer School on arrival you will receive a ticket for public transport (tram + bus) for the duration of the course. With this ticket you can use all trams and buses within the city of Bremen. For travels on the night trams/buses on the weekend a surcharge of EURO 1 per ride is due.
- Internet access and e-mail are available to every participant.
- During the entire stay tutors of the Hochschule Bremen will be available and will take care of participants’ needs.
An attractive and colourful leisure program provides participants with ample opportunities to discover Bremen and Germany (in part subject to charge).

For the duration of your stay in Germany we recommend taking out a health and accident insurance policy as well as a third party insurance. The Hochschule Bremen will not be liable for any costs arising in the case of either sickness or injury.
Summer school fees do not include any insurance coverage.
